Date unknown	Brighouse Bay, Kirkudbrightshire	Large cat, five feet in length, very sleek fairly long hair, bushy long tail.	Seen at 50 yards. Very agile, dodging around boulders and gorse bushes with a semi-crouching run.
Date unknown	Strathnaver, Sutherland	Sixteen sheep killed.
Date unknown	Strathnaver and Bettyhill areas, Sutherland	Large black or dark brown cat-like animal	Sightings by a number of people in the area.
Date unknown	Skerray, Sutherland	Dull rusty colour, broad in the back, strongly built and very fast	Seen at 40 yards by crofters hunting after sheep had been killed
Date unknown	Tayside	Huge cat like animal	Crouched on garden wall. Female witness initially alerted by dog barking.
February	Biggar, South Lanarkshire	Dark brown with long tail, a square-flat head and large paws. Smaller than tiger.	Running across field, but not at great speed, with long pounding definite strides throwing its front legs up and out.
Summer	Drumnadrochit, Inverness-shire	Orange-brown with black spots and stripes, tufts on its ears, twice the size of a domestic cat	Bit woman on hand while she was lying on bracken
August	South Lanarkshire	5 geese found dead	Believed to have been killed by a puma
August	Cannich, Inverness-shire	Beautiful pure black cat, larger than a labrador dog, thick tail longer than body, moulting	Seen at 2 1/2 yards for about two minutes.
10 th August	Glenfarg, Perthshire	Lynx? Huge cat, size of a fully grown labrador, eyes glowing orange, long pointed and tufted ears	Sitting on top of garden wall. Spat and howlled before leaping into fields and vanishing
21 st October	Blantyre, South Lanarkshire	Large 'cat-like' animal	Bounded across road in front car
November	Skerray, Sutherland	Strange animal molesting sheep	Seen by schoolboys
