Terrier encounters large cat

9 th August 1976, Glenfarg, Perthshire
And it certainly wasn't an American puma seen in Perthshire on 9 August 1976. A Glenfarg woman heard her terrier dog yelping in the garden. When she went to investigate what was disturbing the dog she was confronted by a large cat-like creature sitting on top of the wall. It had eyes of burning organge and long pointed ears with tufts on the tips, and it spat and snarled at her as the terrier shivered with fright. With remarkable courage the lady snatched her dog to safety and backed into the house. The huge cat leapt from the wall and made off into the fields on the other side.
