Report from George Markie
August 1976, Cannich, Inverness-shire
... a report from and elderly lady, Miss Jessie Chisholm, who lives in an isolated cottage adjacent to the forestry plantation at Cannich in Inverness-shire. One August evening in 1976, she heard a lot of noise coming from her hens and went out to investigate the disturbance. She was amazed to see a beautiful pure black cat, larger than a labrador dog. She watched it from a distance of about 2 1/2 yards as it stared at her for about two minutes. It appeared to be moulting and had a thick tail which was longer than its body."
