January Torrisdale, nr Skerray, Sutherland Large black cat-like animal, larger than collie dog, long bushy tail Seen by two hunters. Lept out of peat trench and bounded away over the rise of the hill. Moved at tremendous speed.

Spring Caithness Big cat Two later sightings in December

27 th September Farr, nr Inverness, Highland 'Lioness' and two cubs. Seen in a field at 20 ft by three witnesses

29 th September Culduthel, nr Inverness, Highland 'Lioness' and two cubs. Seen by witness. Failed police search

30 th September Five miles from Farr, nr Inverness, Highland Three 'cubs', grey in colour, short cat-like faces, definitely not wild cats, foxes or badgers Seen by two witnesses in headlights. Reported to police.

November Skerray, Sutherland Large cat-like animal, round face with long tail Seen in field by child

12 th December Achneiskich, Sutherland Sheep carcass found. Similar kill two years previously. Vet believed sheep was killed by member of cat family.

13 th December Bettyhill, Sutherland Cat-like beast, size of an Alsatian, dark coloured, a white chest Shot at by crofters out hunting foxes. Ran across fields at incredible speed

14 th December Bettyhill, Sutherland 'Lion or a puma'. Carcasses of six sheep also found. Shot at by gamekeeper and son. Possibly wounded but escaped.
