Report from George Markie
January 1977, Cannich, Inverness-shire
In Juanuary of the following year (1977), when the snow was on the ground, she (Miss Jessie Chisholm) saw a black cat coming through the trees towards her cottage. It was larger than the animal in the first sighting, but she thought it might be the first one grown up. This cat had some white about the face and a long shiny tail. It leapt over the 6 ft high forestry gate and disappeared into the wood.
