Over the next few months I shall be contributing a series of articles exclusively available via the bigcats.org web pages. My contribution is an endorsement of Dr Christina A. Smith’s hard work building the definitive website for the study of free-living exotic cats in Great Britain.

For my first article I felt it was important to have a critical review and appraisal of the official activity that has taken place in relation to big cats in Great Britain. I have titled the piece The Ubiquitous Beast and have tried to make it interesting and diverse in its scope.
