Encounters with big cats in Nairn and by Inverness
From an email in February 2002
Came across this site after reading big cat article in Sunday Herald so this has led me to report a personal sighting and three other reports although some are several years old.
Another sighting was by the owner of Logie Riding school (about 8 miles south of Nairn on the Grantown road near the Findhorn and a huge forest . She mentioned this in conversation as my daughter was taking lessons there...apparently this creature even frightened her Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs!
Finally my brother-in-law's friend had an encounter near Craig Phadraig woods in Inverness again his dog was frightened (almost as much as him!)..this was fairly recently. I hope this is of interest. If you ever plan any expeditions please let me know I am a keen walker and quite interested in the subject as I remember tales of a strange beast in the Tregaron area when I was a lad in Aberystwyth.
