Report from Mike Inglis
Came across this site after reading big cat article in Sunday Herald so this has led me to report a personal sighting and three other reports although some are several years old.
In the late eighties I was stationed at RAF Lossiemouth. One day travelling by train from Elgin to Nairn I caught a glimpse of a large dog (lab) leaning against a tree in a fairly wild scrubland between Elgin and Forres I thought it strange to see a dog so far from habitation and from any ramblers and just as it vanished from view I realized it was sitting exactly like my old cat i.e. quite upright.
Around this time the Bird Control Unit reported seeing a large black cat near the perimeter fence (towards Duffus) (I worked in Air Traffic Control at the airfield).
