Report from Neil Arnold
We took a phonecall last week from a Scottish farmer, who must have got my number from a BBC site as he obviously thought I dealt with cat sightings nationwide. We think the farmer was from Fife. Anyway, he had three attacks on lambs and wasn't very happy about it, but he said he may not ring back as he was very busy. This was the first week in January.
The sheep were attacked from the rear and bitten around the tail and
ear apparently, and they have seen the cat. Basically, his young son had seen a Puma in the fields, and they believe it is a young animal, but they were concerened for their lambs.
