Report from George Redpath
Hi all,
This sighting was forwarded to me as a result of the article in the Evening News.
About 4.15p.m., on 9/01/02, a gentleman was driving on the A7 road towards Edinburgh. As he approached the Sheriffhall Roundabout, the junction with the Dalkeith road, he saw a large black cat in a field on the east side. He describes the cat as being bigger than a German Shepherd with a long tail and states that the cat appeared to be stalking something as it headed towards some bushes. It was moving along with its body held low to the ground and its head held forward. He watched the cat for a few minutes before he lost sight of it. He also said that he had heard of other sightings in the Dalkeith area.
