Alsation-sized jet black cat seen by off duty Police Officer

About 5 pm, on Friday 12 th April 2002, an off duty Police Officer, accompanied by his daughter, were driving on the St.Michaels/Balmullo Road when they saw a big cat walking through a field on the north side of the road.
The cat was Alsation size, jet black with a long tail. They were unable to stop and when they turned their vehicle and returned to the field the cat had gone
