Large mottled grey cat seen near Cupar

About 11.30 am,on Saturday, 4 th of May,2002, a male and female were travelling west on the A913, Cupar/Newburgh road when they saw a grey coloured cat running through a field on the south side of the road.
The cat was about 1 metre long and had a very long thick tail. It had thick stocky legs and looked to be about 50-60 cms high. It seemed to be a mottled grey colour, body light with dark grey or black markings.
This was a very possitive sighting as I know the witnesses very well.
