Report from George Redpath
About 0500 hrs on 6/07/02, a female witness was driving her car along Golf Course Road in Glenrothes when she saw a Brown Cat walking along the grass verge at the side of the roadway.
The cat is described as Dark Brown in colour, very large, about the size of a Roe deer but with a long curling tail. It had a long body but a relatively small head and pointed ears.
The cat appeared to be frightened by the approaching vehicle and ran off into some bushes.
