Report from George Redpath
About 1845 hours on 11/06/2002, a male and his wife were walking within the Birnie Loch Nature Reserve, by Freuchie, Fife.
As they walked along a path which runs parallel to the A91 road, they rounded a corner and saw a Black Cat, described as being the size of a border collie.
The cat was lying across the path eating something and did not seem to be aware of the presence of the witnesses.
They watched it for a few seconds, ensured it was in fact a cat and noted that it had a very large head and a long tail which appeared to curl at the end.
The witnesses then being concerned for their safety, backed off and left the area before reporting the matter.
