Report from Mike Inglis
My job consists of track inspection of the railways, our area is all rail lines in Fife. We drive around in LWB Landrovers kitted out to go on-track with lots of spotlamps as we inspect the line mostly on nightshifts.
Now for the bit that has put fear of ridicule into myself and 2 other workmates; we were going into the railway sidings at Tay Bridge 5 th signal box (Wormit) when all 3 of us in the Landrover saw what can only be described as a bigcat, we only saw its back half as it disapeared rapidly into bushes...it was taller than a German Shepherd (I have one) and had a long upturned tail (black), it was a very brief sighting but we all know what we saw.
The exact date of this sighting can't be remembered but we think it was Oct 2001. I like yourself would love to prove their existance and now carry a video camera...just in case!
October 2001
