Location Kilmaron Estate,by Cupar (Cupar to Newburgh road)

Witnesses Sprigflied gent and partner.

Account; He was walking with partner on a bright day on the Kilmaron estate when he spotted a very large black cat with a long tail (in his own words this was no bloody household Pussy) walking away from them and above them on the hillside. The cat seemed oblivious to the fact that they were there or it just wasnt bothered by them.

Davie whistled loudly on which the cat turned and stopped.It glared straight at them for quite a while,showing no signs of fear, it then turned away and dissapeared into the bushes/undergrowth.They lost sight of the cat and on reaching the place they had seen it there was no sign of the animal. He is in no doubt in what he saw and must have got a shock as he said he wouldn't go back there unarmed. More to follow, including a Lynx sighting and an update on guy who kept cats and the possible cat shooting.
