Location: Woodlands adjacent to Spynie Kirk, outskirts of Elgin, Morayshire.
Time: 05:45 am
Description: Leaving her home to go to work. A pure black cat was seen at the back of the Quarrel woods, opposite Spynie kirk.
The cat on being startled by Miss.G.'s presence, rose from a sitting position nr the road side, and 'loped' away, leaping over the nearby hedge in 1 clear bound,and disappearing into the thicket of the wood.
The creature distinctly feline in nature, pure black, with a long black tail evident. Likened to being a panther, melanistic leopard.
