Beast on the prowl

The elusive 'Galloway puma' has been spotted again, more than a year after the last reported sighting. Eileen Cowan, of Mallivaig Cottage, near Newton Stewart, said yesterday she a large black animal padding about in the bushes just before she went to bed. "It was more than twice the size of a normal cat and had a very bulky coat. Police could find no trace of the mystery beast.
