Report from Aron Bowers
Witnesses: the Bros. McG. (farming, veterinary clients, well known. Quiet and very trustworthy)
Date: c.1999
Location: Fields, at their home nr Blackhills area, to East of Elgin
Description: Sighting not of a large cat physically but of collections of footprints in the snow.
Early in the year. The Mc.G. brothers were to feed their cattle in the adjacent fields, but discovered the cattle were not there.
Alarmed by this, they searched the edges of the fields, to discover the herd had stampeded and demolished the fence and were found huddled together in the next field.
Clearly the animals had been scared by something, and were clearly still alarmed.
In the edges of the field large spoor prints were found.
It was questioned whether they were feline by the brothers.
It is supposed the cat in question was STILL in the vicinity, judging by their
cattle's behaviour on discovery.
The brothers failed to see the maker of the foot-prints.
