Cat sighting in the East Neuk of Fife by Mr Jack Carrie of Centenary Court, Leven.
He sighted the animal at 5.30 am on 29 th April while travelling on the A915 St. Andrews to Upper Largo road. The cat appeared in his headlights just outside Upper Largo.
"It stopped dead in its tracks when my headlights picked it out. It stared straight at the car for several seconds before it turned and disappeared into a field.
"It was smooth - haired and brown coloured with a round head and its ears were flat to its head."
It was described as being three feet long and 18 to 24 inches in height with a long tail.
