Report from Mike Inglis
It may be a bit late in reporting our sighting, but it was 18 years ago, this month.
We were on our rough shoot, covering the farms of Westerbalrymonth, Langraw and North Lambieletham, all on the south side of St Andrews.
I was on the left flank of the old railway line, with 3 mates line abreast. They are John, Derek and the late Willie. John shouted to me to ask were my black lab Clunie was, as what looked like my dog had walked directly in front of him, I called back that Clunie surprisingly was walking at heel.
Then from my position, I saw the big black cat, it was a bit like a dog but much more slinky.
We all saw it as, it crossed the old railway line and headed up the hill towards Cameron Reservoir.
Over the years since that sighting we never saw it again, but still talk about it yet
