A sheep found in fields outside of Edinburgh Airport, the farmer said it was killed by a fox. Of course there is not much to go on by a picture, but the video footage I have does show a little more detail.
Nigel Brierly certainly believes this was a big cat kill, but others believe it was the work of something more sinister, but I think we'll leave that bit out :)

At the start of August 1995 a local Scottish Ufologist and his wife were returning home from holiday in the South of England in their old VW van which unfortunately gave up the ghost. They recieved a replacement vehicle from the AA which they had to return after two days to the depot at Edinburgh Airport.
After returning to the car, the couple set off down a country road to catch a bus when they noticed in a field what looked to be a mutilated sheep, they went over to have a closer look and came across very peculiar sight.
The witness continues...The sheep was approximately 20\30 yards from the fence lying on its left side. The right eye was missing, as was the right ear. The ear appeared to have been cored down into inside the skull. There was a large almost square type wound above the right leg, with matter apparently missing inside the body. The genital and rectal area appeared intact. There was no evidence of a struggle and little or no blood on or around the carcasse. By chance my wife had a throw away camera with her. It had one photo left on the spool. I managed to take a picture of the animal. It took us almost two hours to get home on the bus. I then returned in my car with my video camera and made a short film of the animal and the surroundings. I returned the next day intending to carry out a deeper investigation of the body. Sadly it was gone.
The photo was shown to a local butcher who stated that the ear could not have been chewed out, only cut with something sharp. The owner of the sheep insisted it was fox damage but he could not explain the lack of blood at the scene.
