This is a photograph I took sometime in the eighties. This was done with a flash and 35mm camera using 1500 film.
The dog pictured is a mixed rotweiler and the cat is a feral which I never had the opportunity to see except in the photograph.
I commonly snapped many pictures at night not knowing what the camera would capture. Usually it would be rabbits, opossums, and an occasional racoon. Occasionally the pictures would show some of the many feral cats that my dog would disturb in their nightly visits.
This particular cat I don't recall ever seeing in the daylight. It closely resembles the black cat I have now even though he wasn't born until ten years later. I suspect this might be his father, however to me, this cat appears extremely large for a common domestic feral.
I also have another picture of a kitten that in retrospect I see it has considerably larger claws and looks somewhat different than a normal domestic. I wish I had been more interested in the subject of felines in those days.
