Report from George Markie
I TOO am convinced I saw a mink rummaging through bins in Sinderins, Dundee.
They are very distinctive and perhaps it has escaped from a wildlife centre.
Not at all timid, even when I shouted for my wife, it made no effort to run away and seemed to be used to humans.
On holiday in the Outer Hebrides, we have spotted mink many times.

I READ with interest the letter about a mink in the Hawkhill area of Dundee.
While putting rubbish into my wheelie bin I was startled by sudden movement.
I shone my torch towards the sound and saw a mink feeding.
I thought it would beat a hasty retreat, but it cheekily stared into the torchlight and made off leisurely with its food.

I TOO have seen a creature, which I take to be a mink, rummaging around the Perth Road area of Dundee.
Cute and cuddly as they look, we must remind ourselves these creatures are vermin and must be kept to their own environment on the outskirts of the city.
The council should consider implementing pest control measures.
