Hunt for baboon on loose
Some time in the 1970s a baboon was said to have escaped from Edinburgh Zoo. It was spotted from time to time around the city. It is not known whether the baboon was recaptured or not.
Currently no Scottish Zoo or animal collection appears to keep baboons
