Report from Chris Smith
Date: 1980-1982
Location: behind Woodside Cresent, Paisley in overgrown wood area 5 minutes from town centre.
Description: 3 sightings 1st an all black cat larger than a labrador with a long swooping back very powerfull looking with a squashed face and long tail looked cared for. Ran faster than me
2nd a larger brindle coloured cat long swooping back not so close this time.
3rd cat as second only ginger in colour as before at a distance.
Movement: the 1st cat got as big a fright as me it bound into the bushes before I could move.
the other 2 I saw with my mother. She believed me then. Stalking low to the ground and fast
Noise: the first cat spat at me before it legged it
the other 2 were further away
Duration: 1st 30 seconds.
2nd and 3rd about the 40 seconds
Distance: 1st face to face.
2nd and 3rd about 100 metres
Weather: 1st a lovely afternoon warm and sunny.
2 nd and 3rd early evening
Evidence: none.
Other witnesses: my mother witnessed 2nd and 3rd cats she had to believe me now.
Additional: the trees in the park were getting badly damaged the bark was getting ripped of all the young trees.
