Report from Allan Paul
I had an interesting conversation with a lady from Elgin. She is a very serious, knowledgeable woman, perhaps approaching retirement. She told me she had been travelling from Elgin to Aberdeen on the train a few years ago, and saw a very large black cat just sitting in the middle of a farmers field, in broad daylight. She thought it was a panther, and knew who owned the land, around Inch, I think. She contacted the farmer, and sure enough, quite a few of his livestock had been eaten. It might be worth following up.
