Report from Chris Smith
Our dramatic picture of the 'Beast of Fife' in yesterday's Scottish Sun came as no surprise to many readers. There has been a stunning response to many Sun stories of the muscular big cats who stalk Scotland's woodlands. Here, we print a small selection of your letters:
"During a school summer holiday we stayed near Crinan, Argyllshire, where I would take walks with my pet dog and my parents over the fields. One day a farmer told us we couldn't walk over his land because 12 sheep were slaughtered during the night. The next night farmers gunned down a four foot long cat but the killings still continued. The farmer said: "We only caught a wild cat. They feed on the lambs but the cats that have been killing the sheep are huge. People have seen them carrying a fully grown sheep on their backs."
