Report from George Markie
About 4 years ago I was traveling on the train from Paisley to Greenock, as the train approaches Bishopton there is a large wooded area which is the property of the MOD as it is the grounds of the Royal Ordanance Factory. As the train aproaches it starts to slow down and I would often look out of the window as I had often seen deer and foxes. One particular morning as the train was nearing Bishopton I was looking out of the window into the woodland. There is spot with woods to the left with a large fence surrounding it and to the right if memory serves me correct, the same. In between this there is a clearing which stretches of to the woods beyond, it looks like a grassy path running parallel to the railway coming from the woods and going up running parallel to the RO factory. Just in the middle of the path with its back to me was what I can only describe as a large black or very dark brown animal about 3.5 feet tall with a long tail almost as long as its body the tail was very thick and also came to a blunt end. It was walking slowly with its head down and top of the head seemed to run level with the shoulders in height. The shoulders were moving up and down as it walked. I also noticed that the ears were like the tail blunt ended but only the tops were visable it looked from the back to be about 5 feet long.
