25 lambs lost at Alness
Around 1991
At Snettendon Farm, Alness about 9 years ago, the farmer lost 25 lambs which just vanished with no trace. Although he was used to losing a few to foxes but nothing like this number. He could come up with no explanation. The winter of that year his wife found a large lamb from that springs lambing, dead with the skin peeled back and pretty much everything eaten.
