St Boswells sighting of leopard-like big cat

around 15 th July 2003

Date and Time: about 15 th July 2003 (second sighting two weeks earlier)

Location: Farm near St Boswells.

Description: Larger than labrador, tan, ears perpendicular to head, low slung belly, long tail , cat face

Movement: cat like

Noise: roar/growl

Cat seen crossing road by my husband and nephew 11/30pm at night.

Reference: internet search.

Additional: repeated sightings since last year, periods of increased activity usually May to early summer, poultry killed and removed, especially geese whose heads were left but no feather trail.

This sighting happened on a day when we had all been away and had just returned as was the case last year when we returned at 9.30pm one evening and heard closeby for about 15 mins an animal which sounded distinctly like a large cat.
