Date and Time: 7.30pm 26 th July 2003 (previous sighting two weeks earlier)
Location: Farm near St Boswells.
Description: Larger than labrador, tan, ears perpendicular to head, low slung belly, long tail , cat face
Movement: cat like
Noise: roar/growl
Duration: animal appeared out of barley ran past and up lane
Distance: same level, 2 metres
Weather: cloudy
Evidence: blood hound picked up possible scent and one possible footprint found other animals on farm definately disturbed.
Other witnesses: no unfortunately on this occasion only witness five year old girl but two weeks earlier cat of similar desciption see crossing road by my husband and nephew 11/30pm at night.

Additional: repeated sightings since last year, periods of increased activity usually May to early summer, poultry killed and removed, especially geese whose heads were left but no feather trail.
This sighting happened on a day when we had all been away and had just returned as was the case last year when we returned at 9.30pm one evening and heard closeby for about 15 mins an animal which sounded distinctly like a large cat.

Hi I contacted Scottish Big Catsas the cat still seems to be in the area. You get to recognise a pattern admittedly in hindsight to when sightings occur. Stranged noises, increased death-rate and the like.
Also because people are openly talking about sightings, lots of others who were unsure or embarrassed have admitted seeing something unusual.
