Report from Aron Bowers
Witness: Mr C. of Lossiemouth
Date: Wednesday 2nd April 2003, 22:00hrs
Location: Covesea to Lossiemouth coast rd, Morayshire, approaching R.A.F housing/quarters.
Description: Driving towards Lossiemouth outskirts, could see a labrador sized cat in distance. On approaching had chance to see it's shape.
It's gait as it moved off due to approaching car described as typically feline.
Witness adamant not a dog.
Colour - "Dark brown with blackish 'splodges'/markings. Tail was long and thin, blackish"
(NB. pelage of cat rather unusual, possibly almost lynx-like, but long thin tail not suggestive of this!!! Were the splodges black spots of leopard (melanistic) or mottled shadows from lights of approaching car?- AB)
