Report from Reuel Chisholm
As a result of the article in the Northern Scot I was contacted by a woman at
the weekend who had a vey close encounter with a 'puma' !
Sighting: Friday 29th August, 2.30pm.
The woman and her husband are driving home (between Garmouth & Mostodloch, near Elgin, Moray) when they see an animal sitting by the roadside, they slow down to inspect what they presume is a dog, but as they come to a stop, less than two car lengths away from them is sat a puma (her description - large dark bown cat, small head in relation to body and huge, long & thick uniformed tail).
Cat remains put for a second, casually stands up, turns and leaps over fence into woods. Both saw it very clearly and say that it would have come up to shoulder of their greyhound in height.
Quite a good one I thought! (Could also fit Golden Cat description)

Just had a look on website, this latest sighting is just another in a long
list of sightings of a large brown cat (2 mile radius), which on occasion has
been seen extremely close up!
