Report from George Redpath
Hi everyone,
Here are a number of sightings sent to me from various sources including our local police.
1.
About 12.30p.m., on 25 th July, 2002, female witness was walking her dog, a German Shepherd bitch, in Delgatie Woods, nr Turriff, Aberdeenshire, when she saw a FAWN coloured cat, in the woods about 20 feet in front of her. The cat was very muscular, had a long body and a long tail with a white tip. It had a small head and short ears. It made no noise and looked as if it "was on a mission" possibly stalking something. The forest was also unusually quiet. Witness has no doubt that she saw a very large cat but as the ground was very dry there were no marks left.
Where possible I have examined the areas of sightings, however because of the time lapse between the sightings and me being notified, and also the weather factor, nothing useful has been found. The police had also carried out enquiries/searched at many of the locations.
