Report from Nick Wirsten
A WILD Lynx which escaped from Kirkcudbright Wildlife Park is not a danger to the public unless cornered.
Police said the Lynx escaped between 10am on Monday and 10am the following day. It was still loose yesterday afternoon.
It is thought it would head for forest areas and stay clear of towns
and villages.
Members of the public are advised not to approach the animal or to try and capture it should they see it but to report any sightings
immediately to the police at Kirkcudbright on 01557 330600 or any police station.
The Lynx is described as fawn in colour, with black tufts at its
ears. It is about the same size as a labrador dog.
