The lynx cat missing from Kirkcudbright Wildlife Park since Monday 25
November 2002 has today been recaptured.
The animal was discovered at around 0830 hours today, Friday 13
December 2002, caught in a trap at Cannee Farm, Kirkcudbright.
Despite sightings being reported from as far away as Dumfries, it is
considered that the lynx has stayed in the local area during its
period of freedom.
The lynx is a little leaner than it was but is otherwise none the
worse for its adventure, and is now safely back in its pen at the
wildlife park.
