Report from George Markie
A lynx has escaped from a wildlife park in south-west Scotland.
The animal may have escaped from Kirkcudbright Wildlife Park, Dumfries and Galloway any time between Monday morning and 10am.
Members of the public have been asked to report any sightings, but the cat was not considered a danger unless cornered.
Experts say the cat may head for forest areas and will stay clear of towns and villages.
The public are advised not to approach the animal or attempt to capture it.
Fawn-coloured with black tufts on its ears, the lynx is about the size of a Labrador dog.
