Report from Chris Smith
Golfers on a popular North-east course are keeping an eagle-eye open, after several players returned to the clubhouse with a 13th-hole tale of a big cat.
Inverurie Golf Club administrator Stewart Duncan confirmed that a party of three golfers had spotted what appeared to be a big cat on the town outskirts course, which lies at the heart of an area where a mysterious Beast of Bennachie has been spotted over recent years.
Earlier this year a local businessman reported seeing a big cat nearer the landmark hill and followed its tracks in the February snow for some distance - a local school bus driver backed his story shortly afterwards.
The mystery cat was reported several weeks ago but nothing has been seen since.
