Large black cat seen at East Linton

I just recently moved in the Athelstaneford area of East Lothian 5 weeks ago. At around 3 am I was travelling through East Linton on my way back and I saw what I described as a black cat and the description I gave to my wife was near enough word for word, to your version. But the worrying factor is when I saw this animal it was jumping over a 3 foot wall into a housing estate on the outskirts of the town. it also had the curled up tail at the end .I would be interested to hear of any other sightings in the area.
