This is our first reported sighting from withing the limits of the City of Glasgow. In"Cat Country: The Quest for the British Big Cat", Di Francis reported "By August 1976, the sightings in the Glasgow area numbered over a hundred, including about twenty from policemen." However, we do not know if any of these sightings occurred within the city itself.
There have, however, been a number of sightings from Renfrewshire, from where the cat had come.
