Report from Phil Crosby
Seen by holidaymaker about 6.00 am August 6 th at Ballantrae.
Slightly taller and longer than his Labrador, flowing black tail, short pointed ears - ran into trees at side of park road - re-appeared soon after, ran across roadway, up path into field of sheep and disappeared.
Rabbit population on the park has reduced over the last few weeks - Could be the reason?
Philip -Thanks for the additional information. We do have deer close by, as well as sheep etc. The local farm has been looking for a fox over recent weeks following sheep kills locally - this could be the reason, as foxes are very rare in this area.
Please use the information on your database - refer to it as Ballantrae preferably.
We will keep a look out and try to get a photo if we are lucky, and send it down the line for your team.
