Report via Scottish Big Cats web site
Date and Time: 25 th July, 1.45 am - 2.00 am
Location: in between Dundee and Newtyle road, last bends before coming into Newtyle, Perthshire.
Description: the size of this cat was much larger than a domestic cat. I'd say it was about the size of a border collie but was longer in length and more sleek. I remember seeing the colour as black, but it had this dark amber tinge so wasn't black as such. Another thing I noticed was it wasnt short haired but more like medium length. That's all I have and I've never told anyone about this as I'm a bit of a sceptic and have heard of sightings but don't believe what I saw.
Movement: very feline for sure.
Noise: no
Duration: it lasted about 5, 10 seconds
Distance: I was driving home when it ran across the path of headlights, full beam and was about 25 to 30 feet away.
Weather: it was dry and clear
Further Evidence: no
Other witnesses: none
This is not too far from where some sheep were killed last year and a black cat was sighted at a farm near Lundie.
