Report from Mike Inglis
Location: Rossy Priory Estate, nr Dundee
Date: 15 th Feb
Time:6.50 am
Witness: Estate Tractor driver, driving his tractor along a forrested track on the estate.
The creature was described to me as the size of a Spaniel (specially quizzed to see if it was larger) black in colour described to walk with a slink with the shoulder blades visible during walk.
It's tail was long (as long as it's body) and was carried behind almost touching the ground. (no tracks of tail where left in mud).
It was walking ahead of the vehicle approx 40 yds and did not seem to be concerned by it's close presence after approx 30 yds it cut through the hedge and into a grassed field which it casually walked across before going into a wood.
The wood in question is narrow (approx 220 yds) but extremly dense and long (approx 1 mile) which runs along a long gully.
A single print was witnessed by myself in the soft ground at the edge of the wood.
As an experience hunter and stalker, I can state clearly that this was a large cat print (no claw marks were visible in front of the pads).
I am a little disappointed at it's apparent size, as most other witnesses claim "Labarador or Alsation" sized animals, and this is clearly smaller.
