Report from Chris Smith
A TOURIST in Kilchrenan had a feline surprise when he was awakened in the middle of the night to noise from outside his rented cottage.
Trevor Johnston, from Yorkshire, looked outside to see the dustbin next to the cottage being raked through by a midnight marauder.
A large, black, cat-like creature had knocked the lid off the dustbin and was chewing the bones of a chicken Mr Johnston and his family had eaten for dinner that evening.
There was a bigger surprise when the animal left the bin and went to a small garden table where a smaller version of the cat was waiting.
