Report from Marilyn Henderson via Phil Crosby
A year later, I was driving in first-gear along a very pot-holed track to visit a friend, when this big black creature jumped from the trees and undergrowth, ran behind my car, which I stopped, slinked alongside my driver's door (it was so close I could have put my hand out the window and stroked it) and then leaped into deep undergrowth and trees opposite. This animal was similar to the one I had seen before; black, large cat face and ears, tail like a cat's tail, walked in the slinky way that cats do and jumped like a puma into the undergrowth.
Two other people in the village have seen this same animal, one of whom is a farmer's wife. I heard later that the farmer was very worried because he found two of his sheep lying dead, without their heads.
The other person has seen it three times but one of his sightings was of a brown creature. The BBC Radio Scotland took up his story in one of their programmes.
Another time, a holidaymaker was wakend in the middle of the night and when he went to investigate he saw a black cat like creature, with her kitten, raiding the bin outside his holiday home.
