Report from Aron Bowers
Witness: Mrs M. (veterinary client)
Date: Autumn of 2001
Location: The "Oakwood" (old lodge style motel in 1930's) c.2 mi West of Elgin, Morayshire
Description: Having just pulled away from the Oakwood car-park, her attention was drawn to a dark shape by the edge of the road.
On pulling off, and drawing up alongside, alarmed to discover it was a large pure black cat.
Feline head. Size comparable to Labrador retiever dog.
Cat was sat on its' haunches watching the traffic on the A96 Inverness-Aberdeen road go by!!!
Cat was unconcerned by traffic, indeed seemed somewhat interested in it. Slowly stood up, and turned around, sleeking back into the forest, which surrounds both sides of this stretch of road.
On retreating into forest, showed a long black tail.
Gait described as feline in nature, witness adamant ceature was no dog!
