Sighting from Christina Smith
Dear Christina,
Last night at around 11.30 I am pretty convinced that I saw some sort of large cat.
When I drove back into the car park behind my flat a large animal ran across the road in front of me.
It was about 20 feet away from and I initially thought it was a black lab but the head was much smaller and rounder with small round ears and a really long tail, the body was more refined and the legs weren't as heavy.
It was fast and it quickly disappeared .
It was a strange experience as I know I have never seen anything like this before.
There was a domestic cat close by which when I looked at it was much smaller, about half the size.
The height of the animal was about 2 feet and it was probably about 2.5-3ft in length.
It did not appear to be as heavy as a puma and as long, the proportions looked different.
Do you have any ideas?
Regards
S. F.

PS. The area of this sighting was the West side of Linlithgow, August 14 at 11.30 pm. It ran across the road and so there would not have been any footprints. Don't know where it came from or went to.
14 th August 2001.
