Large black ABC (Panther)
Witnesses: Mr and Mrs McD. (Veterinary clients)
Location: A96 just East of Auldearn
Time/Date: 2001
Description: 11:30pm, driving home from a theatre trip in Inverness.
Just driven past the Boath-House turn off, East of Auldearn, A96,
when a huge 'Panther' (their description) leapt accross the road in
front of them. Did NOT run like a dog, but leapt in a series of
bounds, accross the road, clearing a hedge in 1 bound, and headed
for tree coverage.
Described as labrador sized, pure black. A felid, not canid.
Head had no pronounced muzzle as with dogs.
