Report from Chris Smith
Date and Time: June/July 2000
Location: Oakbank woods, in East Calder, West Lothian, near Livingston
Description: I was too far away to see any considerable detail, but it was black, large and sitting in the centre of a tiny tree, with its long black tail hanging down and curled.
Movement: No movement except the curled tail, which was swaying gently. Otherwise, it was like a statue.
Noise: none heard
Duration: appr. 10 seconds
Distance: same level, about 70/80 metres?
Weather: sunny and warm
Evidence: none
Other witnesses: East Calder woman
Reference: newspaper article
Additional: In November 1999 myself, my mother and my brother were walking in the woods nearby the sighting and saw a sheeps ribcage with the wool still left on. I witnessed this again around May 2000 with a group of friends, in the same place..
